Learning Parameterized Models of Image Motion

چکیده
A framework for learning parameterized models of optical flow from image sequences is presented. A class of motions is represented by a set of orthogonal basis flow fields that are computed from a training set using principal component analysis. Many complex image motions can be represented by a linear combination of a small number of these basis flows. The learned motionmodels may be used for optical flow estimationand for model-based recognition. For optical flow estimation we describe a robust, multi-resolution scheme for directly computing the parameters of the learned flow models from image derivatives. As examples we consider learning motion discontinuities, non-rigid motion of human mouths, and articulated human motion.

Tracking Rigid Motion using a Compact-Structure Constraint
An approach for tracking the motion of a rigid object using parameterized ow models and a compact-structure constraint is proposed. While polynomial parameterized ow models have been shown to be eeective in tracking the rigid motion of planar objects, these models are inappropriate for tracking moving objects that change appearance revealing their 3D structure. We extend these models by adding ...
متن کاملAutomatic road crack detection and classification using image processing techniques, machine learning and integrated models in urban areas: A novel image binarization technique
The quality of the road pavement has always been one of the major concerns for governments around the world. Cracks in the asphalt are one of the most common road tensions that generally threaten the safety of roads and highways. In recent years, automated inspection methods such as image and video processing have been considered due to the high cost and error of manual metho...
متن کاملExplaining Optical Flow Events with Parameterized Spatio-Temporal Models
A spatio-temporal representation for complex optical flow events is developed that generalizes traditional parameterized motion models (e.g. afine). These generative spatio-temporal models may be non-linear or stochastic and are event-specijic in that they characterize a particular type of object motion (e.g. sitting or walking). Within a Bayesian framework we seek the appropriate model, phase,...
متن کاملRobust parameterized component analysis: theory and applications to 2D facial appearance models
Principal component analysis (PCA) has been successfully applied to construct linear models of shape, graylevel, and motion in images. In particular, PCA has been widely used to model the variation in the appearance of people s faces. We extend previous work on facial modeling for tracking faces in video sequences as they undergo significant changes due to facial expressions. Here we consider p...

This paper addresses the problem of adaptive fuzzy tracking control for aclass of nonlinearly parameterized systems with unknown control directions. In this paper, the nonlinearly parameterized functions are lumped into the unknown continuous functionswhich can be approximated by using the fuzzy logic systems (FLS) in Mamdani type. Then, the Nussbaum-type function is used to de...
